“When your child sleeps well, you too will sleep well and as a result you will be better able to nurture and teach your child. Who in turn, will be better able to learn” - Wessibluth

Hello! My name is Lyla.

I am a Certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant and hold a Bachelors Degree in Psychological Science. I am a Mum to two beautiful daughters and have always had a strong passion for helping people and understanding the “why” behind why we do what we do.

As a new mum, I felt first hand the affects that sleep deprivation can have on a family. Not only on your baby, who is stuck in a cycle of over tiredness, but the heaviness sleep deprivation can have on your mental load and relationships. At a time where we need to be functioning at our peak, we are often forced to just get by in whatever way we can.

My passion for helping families achieve better sleep lies in the happiness that comes with a well rested child. The calmness that flows out of well rested parents. The lightness that comes from a well rested mind and the patience and kindness between well rested parents.

We are better mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, partners and friends when we have had the opportunity to receive adequate sleep. Our children are happier, their attention and behaviour improves, they are able to better learn and their overall mental and physical health blossoms.

 our philosophy

Sleep is a basic essential need and has so many positive benefits for your child. When a child is receiving adequate sleep not only is it benefiting their overall mood and wellbeing it is also promoting growth, strengthening their immune system, increasing their attention span, boosts learning, aids in mental and physical development and improves memory. We truly believe in the benefits that a child gains through a well rested sleep routine.

Sleep training DOES NOT mean ignoring your baby’s cries and leaving them to their own devices. It means providing families with the knowledge and tools needed to understand the complexities of sleep and how to reach their sleep goals, whatever they may be.

Just like a child needs to be rested so do their parents. When you are rested you are calmer, more patient, happier, physically and mentally healthier and can better respond to the challenges that come with parenting. So as child focused as we are, we are also equally focused on the wellbeing of the parent. Being rested, healthy and happy as a parent will not only improve your life, but that of your childs too.

We understand that every family is different in their own wonderful way and what may work for one family may not work for another. Our priority is to get to know you and your child so we are able to create a customised sleep plan that embodies your child’s temperament and your individual needs, goals and parenting style. Whether you are struggling with a serial cat napper, sleep routines, night feeds, or if assisting your child to sleep is no longer sustainable for you, we are here to help you find a solution that not only works for you but is one that you are comfortable with.

Our goal is to support you and your child, to nurture you through this process and to get your whole family sleeping better.
